Lemon

Properties: Cleansing, revitalizing, uplifting

Melaleuca (Tea Tree)

Properties: Soothing, cleansing

  • Combine 1–2 drops with your facial cleanser or moisturizer for added cleansing properties, or can also mix Melaleuca with a bottle of fractionated coconut (with Lavender or Frankincense) oil for a great facial moisturizer.
  • Apply to fingernails and toenails to keep nails looking clean and healthy.
  • Use as an effective surface cleaner.
  • Add a few drops to shampoo or massage into the scalp. It’s great for getting rid of dandruff or dry itchy scalp.
  • Add to toothpaste or swish with water for a quick and easy mouth rinse.
  • Apply after shaving to prevent any skin irritation.
  • Apply to skin blemishes and rashes as part of a daily cleansing program.
  • Bathroom Cleaner. Combine 10 drops of Melaleuca with ½ cup baking soda and ¼ cup vinegar to clean the toilet.
  • Chemical-Free Cleaning. Dilute 8-10 drops with water in a spray bottle to clean damp or musty places.
  • Refresh Your Wash. Add a couple drops of Melaleuca to laundry detergent to get rid of any musty smells (Melaleuca kills molds). and don’t forget to wash your laundry again if you forgot your laundry in the wash and add a couple drops just to make it smell better and disinfect and kill moldy smells.
  • Clean smelling linens, couches, carpets and more. Spray Melaleuca on your mattress pad, when you change the sheets, spray on the couch, carpets or anyplace that need a cleaner smell.
  • Homemade Wipes. Cut squares (or rectangles) of clean cotton and place in a storage container with 2 cups warm water, 2 tablespoons fractionated coconut oil and 3 drops each of Melaleuca and Lavender. Let cotton absorb liquid,  use wipes as needed. Also safe and good as baby wipes.
  • Removing permanent marker from skin.
  • Rash Remedy. Mix with Fractionated Coconut Oil, Lavender, and Frankincense to make a rash remedy. Also wonderful as diaper paste for baby’s irritated skin.
  • After sun care. Mix 3 drops of Melaleuca and Lavender each in aloe vera, apply the mixture to the skin after a burn or a long day in the sun.
  • Maintain Immune Function. Diffuse Melaleuca or massage it on the bottom of your feet. Combine with On Guard for even more immune support.
  • Historically, Melaleuca oil was used as a cleanser for the face and to deal with periodic skin and toenail challenges.

  • Add two to three drops in a Veggie Capsule or take directly for an immune boost before traveling or during seasonal changes.*
  • Diffuse in your home or office during fall and winter months.
  • Add to water and use as a natural surface cleaner.
  • Topically needs to be diluted with a carrier oil, with possibly the only exception being on hands.
  • Snotnose Season Relief. Diffuse, diffuse, diffuse OnGuard Protective Blend in your home or office space anytime you are concerned about germs and buggies after being in schools, shared office spaces, buses, any public place, and other crowded venues. (Also great to add a couple drops of Arbovitae oil for extra protection/bug killer and great smell combo).

  • Home and Car-Air vents.  Put a few drops of OnGuard on a cotton swab and place it in your car’s air vent (or in your home if you have forced air). This helps to kill any mold or bacteria that may have been in the vents and gets rid of that dank, stale filtered air.
  • Musty, mildewy smells. Spray down stinky, musty things with OnGuard and water. without all of the harsh cleaning fluids or, bleaching chemicals. 🙌🏻
