The Art
Ferrari’s work can be described as playful otherworldly art that can often lead the viewer into the joyous depths of her inspired imagination. Ferrari largely uses colour and form to describe a dreamy world populated by amazing figures and mystical map-like abstracts.
Ferrari uses the conventions of still life, figurative and abstract expressionism. The whimsical sometime ephemeral mark making and use of bold line hint at both formal abstraction and a narrative art that is sort of suspended in time leaving the viewer to continue the story to their own heart’s delight.
The foundation of Ferrari’s practice is the use of superior techniques and quality archival materials. Materials that are both built to last as well as carefully considered for their environmental and economical impact.
